Luke is 15 months and is out of Tabitha and sired by Bracken of Berrybrae. I continue to be impressed by Luke's temperament, trainability, desire and appearance.  Luke will be waterfowl hunting this year and his training has been quite easy.  To my amazement, Luke has learned commands after one correction without any harsh methods (no electric collar!) and he is building into a fine, strong field companion when I can get him away from our kids (and the neighborhood kids!). My great dog Miller has passed on. Recently, he got what my vet called " bloating." They surgically relieved it, but the next day he did not recover well. His stomach was twisted and he was bloated again. They advised that with his other health problems and his age that it would be best to put him down. I was able to go home, say good-bye, and be with him while we put him to sleep. He was bred by the Andersons' BritishLabradors.com kennel and really turned out to be better than I could have ever imagined. I can only hope that my new pup will be half as great as Miller. I have enclosed 2 pictures of him. One shows how great a family dog he was, and the other is him in all his glory as a hunter.
